The Grand Foundation promotes cultural opportunities throughout the city of Tracy, supporting artists, cultural groups and more.

The Grand Foundation supports arts education and programming for all ages within the city of Tracy and beyond. Founded to support the Grand Theatre, which opened in 2007, the group was initially called the Arts Leadership Alliance. Today, the Grand Theatre Center for the Arts is the creative beacon of Tracy.

The group began with just two charter members but quickly grew to involve many more in the community. Over a million dollars was donated to help create the entertainment venue and arts education programming, and the theater is now home to both local and international performers. Many of Tracy’s residents have their first live performance experience at the Grand.

The foundation operates in collaboration with the city of Tracy, which continues to underwrite the venue’s activities, events, workshops, and learning opportunities.
