The City of Santa Clara Youth Commission was established in 1995 to act in an advisory capacity providing the Campbell City Council with insight into issues affecting youths and teens. The 15-member commission has accomplished several goals in an effort to better serve its cohorts. One such goal was to raise funds to acknowledge individuals who are committed to community service and seek positive solutions to critical issues facing today's young people. Scholarships based on service, not on need or academic achievement, are available to deserving high school juniors and seniors.
Regular commission meetings take place at 6 p.m. every second Tuesday of each month during the school year (September-May). Meetings are conducted virtually during the pandemic; the regular location is the Teen Center, 2446 Cabrillo Ave.
