The Public Works Department is responsible for the development and maintenance of the city's parks, buildings, bridges, streets, traffic signals and wastewater/storm drain collection systems. Additionally, the department manages the city's solid waste collection and recycling contract service.

The Public Works Department is divided into the Engineering Division and the Maintenance Division.
