Humane Society Silicon Valley (HSSV) offers adoptions and veterinary services, along with volunteer and education programs for better understanding of our two-legged and four-legged friends.

Established in 1929, HSSV has served more than 7,000 pets in need for medical emergencies and found 5,600 homes for rescued animals. With a 95 percent save rate, HSSV became the country’s first model shelter, an accomplishment it achieved by meeting guidelines put forth by the Association of Shelter Veterinarians. The organization's vision is to build a community where every pet has a home.

HSSV features a variety of services, such as a free neuter program, summer camps for both owners and their animal companions, medical resources, and more.
