VOLUNTEER DONATE
Town Cats is dedicated to alleviating the suffering of stray, abandoned, unwanted, and feral cats in Santa Clara County. The group sponsors innovative programs to help animal organizations. Town Cats also offers resources to educate the public about animal care and provides tools for pet owners.
Town Cats was founded in 1997 by Rosi Mirko, who along with her husband advocated the humane TNR (Trap, Neuter, Return) method of controlling cat populations. To this day, the organization continues to promote the TNR method with fundraising events, including its 7k race—although in 2020, due to the pandemic, Town Cats opted to host its Stray Cat Strut 7k as a virtual race. Funds go to supporting more animals through public education, food, etc.
The Town Cats website also provides “Meows Around Town,” a section featuring “Happy Tails” about cats who have been rescued and adopted.
