San Jose Museum of Art

The nonprofit San Jose Museum of Art has a reputation for fresh, distinctive exhibitions that engage visitors of different ages and cultural backgrounds.

Founded in 1969, this downtown San Jose institution celebrates new ideas and reflects issues of importance in the community. The museum’s collection encompasses more than 2,600 artworks in a variety of media, including sculpture, paintings, prints, digital media, photographs, and drawings. To engage visitors and art lovers, the museum presents Let's Look at Art, a program that runs throughout the school year with instruction offered in classrooms from elementary to high school.
