VOLUNTEER DONATE
Doggie Protective Services (DPS) is a nonprofit, volunteer-driven animal rescue organization. Group members rescue dogs of all breeds, ages, and sizes, and cats as well. Like the dogs, cats and kittens are rescued and rehomed.
Relying on foster homes all across California, DPS works with 100 to 200 foster homes, from short-term to long-term stays. The main point of contact is through online platforms such as Facebook and Instagram, where volunteers write bios for animals to promote adoption.
While DPS itself has helped more than 12,000 dogs and cats find their forever homes, it also partners with other shelters throughout Southern and Northern California to support more animals. Volunteers help raise awareness about animal overpopulation and rescue efforts. Additionally, DPS has partnered with a rescue group in Korea to help spread awareness globally.
