Yolo Basin Foundation’s main mission is to enhance public awareness and conservation efforts for wetlands and wildlife in the Yolo Basin.
Through education and innovative partnerships, they aim to be the leading organization in environmental education and outreach, specifically focused on wetlands and wildlife stewardship in the Central Valley. The foundation was established in 1990 as a community-based organization, with the primary goal of assisting in the creation of the Yolo Bypass Wildlife Area. They have a unique partnership with the California Department of Fish & Wildlife, which allows thousands of people to access and enjoy the Yolo Bypass Wildlife Area each year. As a 501c3 non-profit organization, they offer various environmental education programs related to wetlands and wildlife for people of all ages.
