Yolo Arts

Located in Woodland, Yolo Arts promotes the work of Yolo County’s creatives in a number of ways, including arts education, brick-and-mortar exhibitions, and online galleries.

Yolo Arts works to enrich the community through the arts, and since many locals are involved with agricultural, one of Yolo Arts’ areas of focus is the Art & Ag Project, which encourages farmers to open their private land to artists. This unique, nationally recognized project raises awareness in the preservation of farmland and helps artists capture what farmlands really look like. The project culminates annually with the Art Farm Exhibition and Gala, a fundraiser not only for the Art & Ag Project but also for Yolo Farm to Fork and the Yolo Land Trust.

Yolo Arts also provides a program for incarcerated youth. They bring art professionals together to teach art techniques to youths on probation or in juvenile detention centers so they can learn to express their inner voices. The program gives these young people a chance to express themselves in a way that can be seen and not just heard.
