Catholic Charities Yolo-Solano

Catholic Charities Yolo-Solano aims to aid individuals and families of all faiths and beliefs with food access, housing assistance, counseling and immigration legal services.

As part of the national volunteer organization Catholic Charities USA, Catholic Charities Yolo-Solano continues the group's efforts through the Yolo-Solano region. The organization collaborates with diverse communities, providing services to the poor and vulnerable, promoting human dignity and advancing social justice.

In the past year, Catholic Charities Yolo-Solano expanded its Food and Nutrition Program by including the Pop-Up Food program, which provides produce to needy communities throughout Solano County, and the Mensa Christi outreach food distribution, which partners with St. Catherine of Siena Parish to feed more than 400 unhoused men and women twice a week. Last year, the organization provided more than $550,000 in direct assistance to more than 200 fire victims recovering from the 2020 wildfires in Yolo and Solano counties and served more than 500 individuals and families seeking legal status.

Catholic Charities Yolo-Solano relies on community support to continue its mission to serve neighbors facing temporary hurdles. Individuals can contribute through volunteering and donations. The organization is also grateful for its sponsors, who include the Annual Catholic Appeal, United Way, Kaiser Permanente and Raley’s.
