Winters District Chamber of Commerce

The Winters District Chamber of Commerce exists to boost the local economy by supporting businesses and nonprofits.

Winters is a small town known for its charm and community spirit. Part of the value is found in business owners who are community-focused and aim to not only thrive professionally, but also build connections and make life in Winters the best it can be. Members of the chamber include friends, family, and neighbors who all live or work in Winters—many of them both.

The Winters District Chamber of Commerce serves a variety of purposes, including advising and equipping these local businesses. The chamber also helps connect local kids with summer jobs, partners with local nonprofits to raise funds, holds ribbon cuttings for new businesses in town, and helps to boost professionals all over the region.

According to the chamber, there are six meaningful reasons to support local businesses as opposed to shopping online or with big box retailers. 

1) Improve health by buying local, organic, healthy food and beverages.

2) Bolster the local economy by pouring income into it instead of outside of the area.

3) Know the people behind the products by meeting them personally while supporting their shops.

4) Keep the community unique by sustaining boutiques and small businesses not found elsewhere.
