The goal of RISE, Inc. is to build strong, self-sufficient rural communities where all individuals feel connected.

RISE (Rural Innovations in Social Economics) was founded in 1987 and has continued to be a strong force for good in Placer County. It has been recognized as a social service delivery entity in rural Western Yolo County, where many live isolated. The goal of RISE is to connect and serve residents of the Winters and Esparto–Capay Valley region, providing all human and social services under its umbrella. The goal is for area residents to remain active, self-sufficient, and connected with a true sense of community. RISE has numerous contracts with other nonprofits and governmental agencies, and also runs grant-funded programming for many demographics residing in Western Yolo County.

Since its 1980s inception, a wide range of social services have been provided. These include everything from preschool to senior citizen services. RISE partners with the California Department of Education to provide after-school programming, and also runs a workforce education program for young adults. RISE also provides food, clothing, and a variety of other basic services to the community as a whole. Lastly, the organization partners with a community fund to provide summer recreation, senior activities, and mental health resources.
