Davis Schools Foundation supports student well-being throughout Davis Joint Unified School District’s K-12 schools.

Davis Schools Foundation is a nonprofit that focuses on the whole student. Providing support to K-12 students in the Davis Joint Union Unified School District, DSF works on behalf of both educators and families to provide annual grants and services that promote student well-being and academic success.

Since its inception in 2004, DSF has raised more than $4 million for instructional aides, counseling services, computer labs, librarians, special education, and extracurricular activites. None of these resources would have been available through public funding alone.

The funding priorities of DSF include mental health and counseling services, equitable opportunity and access, and support for educators.

A group of educators and volunteers started the foundation with a “dollar a day” campaign to raise $365 per donor. Today, fundraising is in the millions and continues to keep pace with the growing needs of Davis students, thanks to generous donors and a motivated board of directors.
