The Auditor-Controller is the chief accounting officer of the county, responsible for budget control, disbursements, receipts, and the accounting and reporting functions of the county’s budget. Marcia Salter was appointed to the position when her predecessor retired in December 2005. She was reelected to a fourth term in 2018.
