The Woodland-Davis Clean Water Agency is a joint powers authority responsible for managing a sustainable, high-quality water supply for the cities of Woodland and Davis, and UC Davis. Its regional surface water supply project provides water to more than two-thirds of the urban population of Yolo County, largely replacing groundwater supplies with more reliable surface water supplies from the Sacramento River.
