King City in Bloom is a group of local residents dedicated to making King City and neighboring parts of Monterey County clean and beautiful.
King City in Bloom is an organization based in Monterey County, and is part of the larger national organization, America in Bloom. Their motto is "Planting City Pride," and this group of volunteers works hard to clean up and beautify this town of nearly 14,000 people. Through various projects each year, King City in Bloom strives to improve the environment and quality of life through the use of flowers and plants.
The group's projects include five points they refer to as "fundamental elements of a healthy community." These include:

The volunteer group conducted its annual pruning at the windmill—located at the entrance to San Lorenzo County Park on Broadway Street—and at the King City Recreation Center.
