Hospice Giving Foundation carries out its belief in “living fully and dying peacefully” with a community-based support system that promotes “personal choice, preparedness, and the highest standards of compassionate, dignified end-of-life care for individuals and their loved ones.”

HG Foundation approaches death not as a medical problem but “a precious time to support, encourage, and care for one another.” The foundation raises funds and gives grants to hospice and other end-of-life care providers in Monterey and San Benito counties, and serves as a source of information on end-of-life questions.
