The Carmel Art Association—the oldest gallery in Carmel—numbers among its most recent accolades “The Award of Excellence” (Carmel Chamber of Commerce), “Golden Pine Cone Award” (Carmel Pine Cone) and “Best Art Gallery in Monterey County” (Monterey County Weekly).

While continually offering work by more than 100 professional artists from the Monterey Peninsula, the CAA celebrates its 95th year in 2022 with artworks commemorating the gallery's early years as a bohemian art colony. In its vision to foster community involvement, the CAA annually presents "For the Love of Art," the Monterey County-wide competition and exhibition for high school juniors and seniors,
