Comprised of concerned citizens from Carmel, Del Rey Oaks, Marina, Monterey, Pacific Grove, Salinas, Seaside and Big Sur, Communities for Sustainable Monterey County teaches rainwater harvesting, creates butterfly gardens, installs cigarette disposal can “butlers,” gives the heave-ho to litter, demonstrates the benefits of solar panels, and knows more than a thing or two about planting trees.
