DONATE

Since 1986, Monterey County Theatre Alliance has facilitated the relationship between the area's theater venues, artists, and audiences while promoting Monterey County’s rich history of live performances.

The nonprofit organization is made up of producers, actors, and technicians. Ongoing programs and activities include online listings of current and upcoming productions, audition announcements, two-for-one tickets to shows, hands-on technical workshops, and annual scholarships awarded to high school and community college students studying theater.

Thanks to COVID-19’s current ban on live theater, MCTA also offers a Virtual Venue Program, which hosts on readings and other performances on Zoom webinars, as well as Saving Monterey County Theatre History, an oral history project that archives the past and present of the county’s theater community.
