United Way of Monterey County is one of 1,800 local United Way chapters in the world. The local group continues the tradition of “mobilizing the caring power of communities around the world to advance the common good” and identifying the most critical issues and needs in Monterey County.

UWMC offers programs in early care and education, distribution of free prescription discount cards, low-cost housing, school supplies for homeless children, emergency food and shelter grants, and much more.
