The Council of Governments was formed in 1973 by the cities of Hollister and San Juan Bautista and the County of San Benito for the purpose of forming consensus on regional issues facing San Benito County. COG Will Pay $4 Million More for Hwy 156 Upgrade
Though the Council of San Benito County Governments voiced concerns, they voted 4-1 to approve additional funds for the Hwy 156 Improvement Project, which partially cover a $13.8 million increase in costs incurred due to the 2022-23 rainy season.
