VOLUNTEER DONATE

In 1999, Lodi House was established in order to create a secure and structured environment for women and children. Lodi House provides accountability, stability, training, and renewal for its clients.

Clients are expected to be employed with 32-hour work weeks, but they do not have to be employed when applying. Lodi House offers free services to guests, such as housing, living essentials, and mentorship from staff and volunteers. Women and children receive counseling to help them live independent lives in a healthy manner.

The housing Lodi House provides is a home-like shelter that was designed to help its tenants achieve stability. When applying, Lodi House does have a preference for single mothers who have children and are able to be alcohol- and drug-free. Guests are allowed to stay between two and six months in order to reach their goals. The housing Lodi House provides allows for tenants to save money so they have something to start with when they leave. In fact, they are required to save at least $1,000.

Staff will work with the guests to help them develop healthy support systems and family routines. They also offer money management, therapy, and other workshops.
