In the North Tahoe-Truckee region, housing is a concern for residents at every income level, from the homeless to middle-income salary earners. The Mountain Housing Council is dedicated to finding creative solutions to this problem.

A project of the Tahoe Truckee Community Foundation, the Mountain Housing Council brings together more than two dozen partner organizations to accelerate solutions to the local housing shortage.

The council’s goal is to build on the needs identified in the 2016 Truckee North Tahoe Regional Workforce Housing Needs Assessment and tackle the pressing challenges of housing in the North Tahoe-Truckee region, including availability, variety, and affordability.

The site offers a wealth of information, with resources that will help renters, potential homebuyers, developers, and policymakers.
