Food Not Bombs is a nonprofit organization promoting peace while serving nutritious vegan meals to anyone in need.

According to the Food Not Bombs Facebook page, “The mission of Food Not Bombs is to educate regarding Government budget decisions that favor war and destruction while allowing citizens to go hungry and un-housed. We recover and share free vegan food with the public without restriction. Each of our over 1,000 groups is independent making decisions using the consensus process.”

The group believes in taking nonviolent direct action to work toward a society where all have a right to food, housing and meaningful, dignified work.
