Firelight raises donations for foundations, individuals, and institutions to support community-based organizations in eastern and southern Africa. It identifies and funds efforts to support the health, resilience, and education of children.

Founded in 1999, Firelight addresses the needs of orphaned children and individuals affected by HIV, AIDS and poverty in sub-Saharan Africa. Through community support, the group has raised funding and grants that have supported more than 350 community-based organizations and affected millions of children, parents, and caregivers.
