VOLUNTEER DONATE

The Coastal Watershed Council aims to protect the lower San Lorenzo River and restore this important resource for the benefit of the community.

Help is needed for the council’s monthly River Health Day, where volunteers help remove invasive plants like cape ivy and ice plant and reintroduce native species such as mugwort, willows, blackberry, and monkey flower. The nonprofit group also partners with local experts to monitor water quality and offers educational programs that teach young people about the region’s natural resources.
