The Valley Women’s Club is dedicated to community action through awareness. The club has three separate committees with specific areas of interest: education, the environment, and women’s issues.

Founded in 1978, the club provides leadership on social and political concerns that affect San Lorenzo Valley residents. Among its achievements was to launch San Lorenzo Valley’s first recycling center. Other matters tackled by the environmental committee include protecting the watershed, educating the public on forestry issues, and monitoring government policies.
