Originally founded in 1944 on Trout Gulch Road, the Aptos branch library moved a couple times before landing in its present location in 1975. Now there's a move to redesign this fast-growing branch—a plan supported by Friends of the Aptos Library. The group raises funds for the branch via monthly book sales, maintains a water-wise garden at the site, and a series of events called Our Community Reads.
