The Davis Fire Department has three stations located in Central, West, and South Davis. The 36-person staff includes nine captains and 27 firefighters. The staff is divided into three shifts, covering 24-hour days.

The department covers multiple services including pre-hospital emergency medical services at the EMT-1D level, and minimizing loss from fires, hazardous materials incidents, and natural disasters. The department also coordinates Davis-wide responses for large-scale emergencies and incidents.
