County of Nevada Citizen's Oversight Committee of the Nevada County Library

This committee reviews the library’s revenues, expenditures, and services. Its goals are to ensure that the Nevada County Library Fund receives all library tax monies collected by the Board of Equalization, and that the Eastern and Western Nevada County libraries receive equitable amounts from the fund. Committee members advise the county librarian on the strategic plan and the annual budget, and facilitate the free flow of communication between the committee and all interested library patrons and organizations. The Board of Supervisors appoints five at-large members to four-year terms.
