El Dorado Irrigation District Board of Directors Board Members Brian K. Veerkamp

Brian K. Veerkamp is a fifth-generation resident of El Dorado County, and is a descendant of the Veerkamp pioneers. His great-great uncle John Wagner was an El Dorado County supervisor from 1919 to 1934, so it could be said that Veerkamp has remained in the family business. He retired from the fire service after 30 years, including working as the fire chief of El Dorado Hills Fire Department. Veerkamp has served the local community in many ways, including 14 years on the board of Camino Union School District. He lives in Placerville with his wife. Together they have two daughters, two sons-in-law, two granddaughters, and one grandson who all reside in El Dorado County.
