The political events and strategizing within the Republican National Convention have been taking place at lightening speed in the aftermath of an assassination attempt on the life of former President Donald Trump’s at a rally in Bethel, Pennsylvania. The current fears being expressed by delegates, along with heightened security, is bringing an air of foreboding to the four-day event, which opened Monday, July 15th. Chris Krohn was on the ground and inside the security zone enshrouding the Fiserv Forum, the venue where Trump accepted the nomination for President. Monday’s events included a protest by the “Coalition to March on the DNC.” Coalition spokesperson, Omar Flores said, that “protesters will march where they want to march,” possibly setting up a confrontation with the hundreds of local, state, and federal police. That evening, inside the arena, Trump was to name his choice for vice-president. KSQD was there to report as events unfolded at the RNC in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.  This episode of "Talk of the Bay" features studio hosts, Meilin Obinata, Joy Schendledecker, and Chris Krohn reporting from Milwaukee.  The show and podcast were produced and engineered by Nyanko Nyasu.

I have given myself over to the theory that the Feds have in the interest of brevity or clarity or something meddled in our affairs regarding the city’s street names. This theory is based upon both the musings of a knowledgeable citizen and a personal experience I am sure is shared by residents of at least three streets. I want to expound upon this a bit, but with the caveat that this issue is primarily opinion and pales in comparison to the more important concerns of a city.
BRADLEY — County of Monterey Parks and Lakes Division, Environmental Health Bureau and Water Resources Agency staff reported Monday that data and testing results from water samples taken in the wake of a massive fish die-off at Lake San Antonio were “inconclusive,” but that a possible cause of the incident could be due to a natural algae phenomenon spurred on by high heat, which lowered the dissolved oxygen concentrations causing the fish to suffocate.
