The Nevada County chapter of Habitat for Humanity builds affordable housing for local low-income families.
The group has provided homes to more than 38 families, housing some 160 individuals. With more than 48 percent of Nevada County residents paying more than they can afford in housing costs, the group seeks to do even more.
