The Santa Cruz Museum of Natural History is a nonprofit organization that connects people with nature and science. The museum features educational, hands-on exhibits for children, families and adults.
Since 1982, the museum’s core goals are create a place for exploration, offer educational experiences, celebrate diversity, foster global environmental awareness, and collaborate with others for positive change, and uphold respect for all. The museum offers public programs such as nature explorer camps that connect children with nature.
The museum has permanent exhibits that focus on the natural history of the Santa Cruz region and the Monterey Bay. Due to the pandemic, the museum adopted changes to bring the museum to people’s homes through virtual exhibitions.
