The Nevada County Resource Conservation District (NCRCD) was founded on November 13, 1943 with a mission to promote responsible natural resource management.

NCRCD assists landowners and land managers in improving and conserving their land.  The NCRCD provides technical assistance for issues including erosion control, pond management, invasive weed control, fuels management, wildlife habitat improvement, pasture, orchard and vineyard management, and rangeland management.

NCRCD is governed by a 6-member board of local landowners who provide input for local resource management and are appointed by the Nevada County Board of Supervisors.

Board meetings are held at 4 p.m. on the 2nd Tuesday of each month except August and December.
