With his background as a certified financial planner to bolster his claim, Mike Wasserman says he has a “head for numbers and heart for people.” And his heart is firmly set on serving the people in public office. He was first elected to the Board of Supervisors in 2010, and reelected in 2014 and 2018, and was tapped as president for 2021. Wasserman represents District 1, the largest of Santa Clara County’s five districts at 700 square miles and 400,000 residents in part of San Jose and all of Los Gatos, Monte Sereno, Morgan Hill, San Martin and Gilroy. He is married to his college sweetheart, Kim, and they have two grown children and three French bulldogs.
