Garrett Gatewood has been a resident of Rancho Cordova for 12 years, and owns a computer services business in Sacramento. On Jan. 6, the Rancho Cordova City Council gathered to review several key issues, notably approving public art installations and discussing the removal of a Planning Commission member.
The Rancho Cordova Planning Commission approved two projects on Tuesday, Dec. 11, after discussions on design and community impact. The meeting focused on a church remodel and a new affordable housing complex for veterans, both of which aim to enhance local infrastructure and support community needs.
The Rancho Cordova City Council held its meeting on Monday, Dec. 16, where significant leadership changes were made, including the appointment of a new mayor and vicemayor, as well as a discussion on the city’s Planning Commissions future.
The Rancho Cordova City Council approved a resolution on Dec. 2 authorizing the City Manager to execute a contract with the Rancho Cordova Area Chamber of Commerce for business retention services. The agreement, valued at up to $2,777,937, will span from February 2025 to February 2028.
The City of Rancho Cordova announced Amanda Norton as its new Economic Development director and Darcy Goulart as its new Community Development director.
