Linda Budge was first elected to the City Council when Rancho Cordova was incorporated in 2003, and has served the area in various capacities since the 1970s. She went on to be elected several times thereafter, including serving as its first female mayor. Budge has been a resident of Rancho Cordova for more than 40 years and has dedicated her community service toward both historic buiding preservation and city planning. She is the mother of five children and grandmother to 14. She successfully ran for another term in the Nov. 8, 2022, general election.

The Rancho Cordova City Council held a busy session on April 7, discussing several key initiatives, including a special proclamation, fiscal updates, homelessness strategies and the city’s new two-year strategic framework.
The second annual Spring Service Day is set for Saturday, May 17 and the city is calling on the community to come together in celebration of volunteerism and civic engagement.
The Cordova Community Council and the Rancho Cordova Area Chamber of Commerce discussed the growing development in the city during their monthly luncheon on March 21.
Rancho Cordova Mayor Siri Pulipati presented the Soroptimist International of Rancho Cordova and Gold River Club with a proclamation honoring Women’s History Month during the March 17 City Council meeting.
The California Capital International Documentary Film Festival, put on by the Rancho Cordova Film Office, wrapped up its third successful year this past weekend, showcasing powerful and inspiring films from around the world.
