Born and raised in Stockton, Kimberly Warmsley began serving her first term on the City Council representing District 6 in January 2021 and was appointed vice mayor in April 2023. Warmsley was born and raised in Stockton, with roots in south Stockton and Weston Ranch. As a planning commission, Warmsley worked to ensure that South Stockton was at the forefront of strategic planning, promoting health and equity in the community. As a councilmember, she is committed to bringing new jobs and business development resources to District 6.


Warmsley was inspired to commit herself to public service and community development watching her parents and grandparents as they served their community, state, and country.She has worked with several organizations to help individuals find jobs and small businesses develop business practices. She also aims to support mental health strategies and invest in historically underserved communities.


First elected: Nov. 3, 2020

Alma maters: California State University, Stanislaus (master’s degree, social work; bachelor’s degree, sociology); San Joaquin Delta College (associate degree, business administration, psychology and sociology).
