The Planning Commission works with the Lathrop City Council to recommend city plans and ensure all activities remain within local and state law. The department oversees Lathrop Municipal Code and deals with land use and zoning. Planning commissioners, who are appointed to four-year terms by the Lathrop City Council, are required by state law to file an annual statement of economic interests with the state’s Fair Political Practices Commission.
Meets the third Wednesday of each month at 6 p.m. in the council chamber.
