Eleassia Davis first got involved in city government in 2015, when she applied for an appointment to an open seat on the Tracy City Council. Though she wasn’t selected, Davis was tapped for the first in a series of appointments to advisory bodies. In 2020, she was elected to the Tracy City Council after coming in first in an eight-way race for two at-large seats.
Her top three priorities listed on VotersEdge.org include economic revitalization and “smart growth,” but what comes first on her list is being “a strong and vocal supporter” of public safety.
Davis is a founding member of the Women’s Small Business Network of San Joaquin and a past board member of Tracy Women’s Forum. She is a member of GFWC Tracy Woman’s Club, Loyal Order of Moose, and Tracy Elks Lodge.
