Self-described as the “Jewel of the Valley,” Ripon is San Joaquin County’s second-smallest city, best known for its almond industry but more valued by its residents as a good place to raise a family and enjoy small-town living with full city services. Ripon prides itself on a low crime rate and access to many recreational activities—including city sports programs, walking trails in Army Corps Park, an aquatic center, a skate park, and one of the valley’s largest indoor climbing gyms.
The City Council meets the second Tuesday of each month at 6 p.m. in Council Chambers. To view archived meetings, visit the city’s YouTube site.
The Planning Commission reviews all potential projects and developments proposed in Ripon’s city limits. Meetings are streamed live on the city’s YouTube site.
