Mayor Michael Restuccia has been a resident of Ripon for over 35 years, and has been married to wife Mona for even longer. He has been involved in the local community for decades, serving as a councilmember and mayor. He is the chair for several organizations, including the Joaquin County Retirement Association, San Joaquin Regional Transit District Board, and the Ripon Chamber Government Relations Committee. He also serves as a board member for the Bank of Stockton.

In 2018, Restuccia planned to run for another term but no candidates filed to run against him or Dean Uecker, so the council voted to appoint both councilmembers to new terms. Restuccia ran for a third term in 2022.

First elected: Nov. 4, 2014

Day job: Managing partner at Restuccia & Harrison, GP

Alma mater: San Jose State University (bachelor’s degree, accounting and finance), Golden Gate University (MBA, accounting and finance)

Notable quote: “It has nothing to do with Dean (Uecker) and I, it has to do with the city council as it is, we work as a team, it could have been any two of the three city council members up for re-election, I don’t think they would have been challenged by anybody because of the way the city is running.” (Source: ABC10)
