Before joining the council, Davis spent 12 years as an education researcher for Stanford University's Center for Research on Education Outcomes. Her community service résumé includes serving as chair of San José's Early Care and Education Committee, a delegate to the Junior League of California’s State Public Affairs Committee, and president of the North Willow Glen Neighborhood Association. As a councilmember, she focuses her passion on economic policy and education. “I believe that these two areas of public policy address the root cause of a lot of problems cities face,” Davis says.

Notable quote: “If 2020 has taught us anything, it’s that we need steady hands in our government to guide us through crises. When a crisis strikes, we don’t have time to figure out the machinations of government and who to call. San Jose did an excellent job responding to the COVID-19 crisis because we have experienced elected leaders who make decisions based on data and outcomes, not hopes and dreams.” (Source: Ballotpedia.org)
