Green Foothills protects open space, farmland, and natural resources in San Mateo and Santa Clara counties through advocacy, education, and grassroots action.
Green Foothills believes that some land use decisions are harming the natural environment. To prevent such actions, the group advocates for policy changes and educates the community. Team members protect threatened wildlife habitat and support nature-based solutions to mitigate sea level rise and flooding. To aim for better health for both people and the environment, Green Foothills educates others on biodiversity and ecosystem health.
