Though only 25 when he was elected to the Campbell City Council in November 2020, Sergio Lopez already has an impressive political résumé. He has served as political director for a gubernatorial race and has drafted policy for a presidential campaign. Currently he’s an elected delegate to the California Democratic Party, representing Campbell at the state level. The brand-new councilmember comes armed with big plans; read about them on his campaign site.
An author and historian, Lopez has written two original manuscripts on history and politics. He serves on the board of the Campbell Historical Museum and Ainsley House Foundation, volunteers with Campbell West Valley Rotary Corps, and is a member of the Campbell Chamber of Commerce.
