The office of the City Clerk provides information regarding the operations and legislative history of Morgan Hill to the City Council, all departments, and the general public. The clerk performs several functions that are vital to good governance: supervising elections, and ensuring compliance with the Brown Act (open meeting laws), the Political Reform Act and the Public Records Act. When the council acts, the city clerk ensures that federal, state and local statutes and regulations are followed and that all actions are properly executed, recorded, and archived.
