The Santa Cruz County Animal Shelter Foundation is a federally approved charity that raises private money in support of the mission of SCCAS, which is a joint powers authority that serves Santa Cruz County and the cities of Santa Cruz, Scotts Valley, Watsonville, and Capitola.

As a 501(c)(3) institution, the foundation can offer giving channels not normally available to animal shelters, whose budget includes county funding. Some of these options for supporting Santa Cruz County’s no-kill shelter and its animal inhabitants include legacy giving, vehicle donation, employer matches and IRA rollovers.
