For more than 50 years, the Volunteer Center has collaborated with local communities, schools, and nonprofits to transform Santa Cruz County through volunteerism.

The Volunteer Center offers a great online listing of many volunteering opportunities around the community. Events, dates, details and sign-up information are all listed for easy access. The organization also offers programs for youths, seniors, and families; community needs; volunteer referrals; and COVID-19 response.

Each year, the center works with as many as 500 community partners. In the past year, the organization has “connected over 15,000 volunteers, provided service for over 9,000 clients, and generated over $11 million dollars in volunteer labor toward solving pressing community issues.” With the Volunteer Center’s proactive connection, it continues to empower individuals through volunteerism.
